Mt. Timpoong and Hibok-Hibok Natural Monument

Providing you with grand colors at every hour of every day and a majestic backdrop to the island of Camiguin are these two mountains which make up the Mt. Timpoong and Hibok-Hibok Natural Monument which was declared as an ASEAN Heritage Park in 2015 for being home to a wide range of flora and fauna that is endemic to the island-province.


Mt. Timpoong stands at 1,580 meters while Mt. Hibok-Hibok, is an active volcano that rises at 1,200 meters. The heart of this national monument is home to the Camiguin Hawk Owl, Camiguin Hanging Parrot, Camiguin Forest Mouse, Camiguin Narrow-mouthed Frog, medicinal trees like Kalingag and Duguan, and various other birds, rodents, amphibians, dipterocarps, rattan, and ferns which make the Mt. Timpoong and Hibok-Hibok National Monument, an eco-wonderland you must explore.
